Stage4, Classic distance:
This are was mapped back in 1995 by Ukranians O. Kotylo and B. Stramyk. Since
then it was only used for 2 competitions (up to 250 people) and therefore it is
not known to the many domestic and most of the foreign orienteers. The terrain
is unusually fast for Slovenian karst forests. Namely, ME running speed is expected
to be about 6.0 min/km or maybe even faster! Needles to say, runability and visibility
in this beech forest are very good. Contour forms are not as dense as in first
2 stages but in some places they are rather diffused and therefore offer a technical
challenge. Even though the first 2 stages are more technical, we are sure that
this will be the favorite stage of many after the race is over!
